I didn't really know anything about intersex...

...when I started collaborating with Megan DeFranza on a documentary about this invisible community which represents just under 2% of the population.

25 interviews later (averaging about an hour each) with intersex individuals, doctors, activists, and religious leaders, I have become a passionate advocate for this community, and convince that shining a light on their mistreatment at the hands of the larger society (mostly unwittingly) can give us all a better understanding of a myriad of issues, and the ability to have more informed discussions with each other.

In this video, a fantastic physician talks about a moment when her awareness of the moment -- and an impulse of restraint -- made all the difference. It is a cool story.

If you'd like to find out more about intersex and the doc, check out our Indiegogo site:  https://igg.me/at/IntersexAndFaith. Our campaign ends this coming Saturday, July 29.

Thank you.
